From successful creation of clinical and science based coursework in doctoral and master level university courses to teaching elementary students, Dr. King quickly realized that although memorization is often utilized in academia, understanding of the topic itself can be limited.

This limitation prevents practical utilization of a topic and a lack of interest. Often, after understanding the "why" of how something works, the connections can be made to more complex ideas, leading to a curiosity that drives further questions  and interactions with the material.

As a result, the academic explorer experiences a deeper learning experience, and the lifelong joy of learning.

It is from these experiences that Feathered Stars, LLC was born.
